The Hierophant

Upright

Higher forces and laws are at work above you, greater than any person. You begin to understand the rules of a higher-order system — and in that understanding, freedom opens up. When you know your limits, you stop beating against walls and find the door.

Reversed

The boundaries are blurred, and you no longer see where you end and something else begins. It's easy to shift responsibility onto someone else, and the rules seem empty or foreign. Until the framework becomes clear, freedom will remain out of reach.
