The World

Upright

The circle closes. Illumination arrives, and a sense of merging with the world: I am the world, and the world is me. Everything you have been through comes together into one whole picture. This is the completion of a great journey — and the harmony that follows it.

Reversed

The merging doesn't happen, and there are two extremes here. Too little — separateness: you on one side, the world on the other, an invisible wall between you. Too much — losing yourself in the world: the world is there, but you can no longer be found in it, like the Fool who lost all sense of self. Look for the middle, where you can be both part of the world and yourself.
