King of Pentacles

Upright

Your role is to be the support on which other people's wellbeing stands. You don't have to do everything yourself: people act in your name, the business runs, and your very presence gives a sense of reliability. This is the mature strength of the earth — calm, steady, generous. Where you are, there is confidence in tomorrow.

Reversed

The throne is there, but the support is not. Too little — you take the master's seat, but nothing stands behind it: wealth, status or position remain an empty symbol. Too much — you cling to power over money and people, like a tyrant afraid to let even a single coin out of your hands. The true strength of the earth is to nourish, not to clench.
