Page of Swords

Upright

The curiosity of a child holding a sword for the first time. What interests you is the learning itself — figuring things out, asking questions — rather than having a ready answer. You study diligently and want others to approve of your thoughts. This freshness of view is a gift; protect it.

Reversed

The student's role doesn't work out. Either curiosity has faded and your thoughts work just "to get it over with", without any interest. Or, on the contrary, the urge to please other people's opinions is so strong that your own understanding gets lost. Try to find joy in learning for yourself.
